Day #6, Law of Attraction

Happy Sunday friends and welcome to The Happiness Planners: Law of Attraction, Day #6.

This week was drastically different, and the slower pace was a blessing. Just being able to take my time in the mornings, and not being so exhausted in the evenings was nice.  I was able to exercise at least 2 days, all the while getting a minimum of 11,000 steps a day … Go me!

Today I’m talking about …

  • Still unsure about moving … building problems
  • What’s happening on my birthday … I need to decompress

“Wealth flows from energy and ideas.”
— William Feather —

At this stage in my life, I’ve missed the career train.  Who knew you could get paid, sustain and raise a family on a hobby.  I’ve been putting my camera in people’s faces for years, raising a child solo, organizing, and doing my own life hacks for longer than some technology exist.

The mere fact of getting paid to share my ideas and my options is mind-boggling (lol).  Choosing my path for a career would fit in an unusual box of social media, arts, and photography.

My only goal was taking care of my kid and putting her through college while having a nice place to live.  Twenty years is a long time to be anywhere doing what you don’t love, but I’ve always done anything and everything for my family.

Money is monster in itself because I’ve never had enough to do exactly what I needed, but as we all know … God provides, so He made a way for us to live, and live comfortably.

This exercise of the journal is not something that’s geared toward middle-age folks or people changing things up and starting a second career.  If I was bold enough, or brave enough to leave the confines of my job, I’d do it in a heartbeat. But not knowing if it’s going to work, or worrying about my finances is stressful, and in the real world you need something to fall back on.

My finances need to work for me.  I need savings, and a plan in place for when I get older as well as a pension, assets, or 401K, health, and life insurance. These are the things that I try not to take for granted, and I tell myself that this is why I’m in the position that I’m in.

What’s important to me now are experiences and creating something special because if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.  Getting what I live has been my life’s struggle, but it’s get’s a little easier every day.
