A Round-up of Posts For The Month of July!

Hello friends, and how are you today…welcome to the blog!

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you’re being productive, checking in with friends and family, staying hydrated, and enjoying Summer. August is fastly approaching, and I know everyone is having their fair share of this dreadful heat. Today I’m sharing all my July happenings.

Let’s start with a round-up of posts for the month.

Staying on Track

I’ve mentioned several times how important it is to stay hydrated in this summer heat, but also if you’re working out or doing anything strenuous.  Liquid IVs have been my go-to for the past 3 weeks, and so far it’s working to keep my blood sugar level as well as keep me hydrated, but there are also the added vitamins and electrolytes that go along with it.

Plant Life

I’m still working on being a better plant mom but my Pilea Peperomioides had a gnats infestation so I was at my wit’s end to try to get rid of them.  I think the main reason for their attraction to my plant was the eggshells and coffee grounds I was using to give the soil some nutrients.  So I got rid of all that dirt and thankfully the gnats were not at the roots.

The plant is already devastated as it only has 4 nice leaves left with new buds coming in, so I’m working really hard to get it back into shape before I completely give up on it.  I’m also starting a Skillshare course to help me gain more knowledge and learn how to keep my plants thriving.

We finished this 1000-piece Wonder Woman puzzle, which is now all rolled up, but I can’t wait to start on our next puzzle.  Unfortunately, I don’t have the link for this as we purchased it last year from a store that was going out of business. And yes, I’m also a total geek when it comes to Stranger Things gear.  I got this t-shirt as well as another that says “Mornings are for coffee and contemplation“, and if you’ve seen the series you’ll understand.

What Books I Finished This Month & Challenge Progress

I was reading Oracle by Andrew Pyper (narrated by Joshua Jackson) however ….my free period ended with Audible and since it’s an “exclusive” now it’s locked and I only had 1 hour to go.  I was really enjoying that book but Que sera sera.

I’m still reading Dark Corners, although I’m still only 25% through it.  It’s not what I thought but I’m committed to finishing.  In the meantime I’ve started “The Final Girls Support Group“, and it’s pretty good.  It’s an audiobook but the narrator’s voice is pretty annoying (sorry), so I had to do a quick search to figure out who this person is, and of course, she’s an actress that was a final girl in the first Friday the 13th (Adrienne Kingclever).

What I Watched This Month

My TV and movie watching was light for July, however, there are so many great documentaries, shows, and movies coming to Netflix in the next few weeks.   And of course, I’ve seen the Wakonda Forever trailer and the trailer for A Handmaid’s Tale. (who-hoo)

Avengers Age of Ultron (No stars, I watch these for my daughter…LOL)
Everything Everywhere All At Once ★★★★½
Stranger Things (Season 4, Vol 1-2) ★★★★★!!!!
Girl in the Picture ★★★★
Coherence ★★★★
Cabin in the Woods ★★★
