Simple “Thanksgiving Day” Table Decor Ideas

Hello friends and Happy November …welcome back to the blog!

November Quote
“Don’t wait until the fourth Thursday in November, to sit with family and friends to give thanks. Make every day a day of Thanksgiving!” – Charmaine J. Forde

Can you believe folks are already playing Christmas music?  I mean …can we have Thanksgiving first and enjoy the time before we rush to Christmas?  Small rant today but how are you?  I hope you’re doing well, enjoying the cold sunny days, and chilly evenings while checking off your to-do lists.

Today I’m sharing a few ideas for some simple Thanksgiving table decor.

I love Thanksgiving and I hate that it’s an afterthought as folks rush through this month.  I love the food, creating the food, and the time spent sitting with family, having fun discussions, and enjoying some good Mysteries on TV.

(Of course) I’ve been searching Pinterest, Tumblr, and the web just looking at table ideas.  I know what I’m doing for my table.  It will be simple with candles and pumpkins and a garland as a centerpiece.

I use to get all stressed that plates, utensils, and dinner napkins didn’t match but honestly people don’t really care about any of those things. What they remember is the food, and the atmosphere you’ve created.

Here are just a few suggestions to help you create a simple, elegant table.

3 // Faux Pears ~ Amazing Produce
4 // Tapered Candles ~ Connected Goods
5 // Dried Flowers ~ Aflorel
6 //  Tealight Holder ~ Amazon
7 // Pumpkins ~ Your local grocery store
8 // Eucalyptus Garland ~ Amazon

You can also add in name placeholders, small wooden boards as accents, chargers, or have your dishes be the centerpiece surrounded by leaves or foliage.

I always try to be realistic when it comes to decor and spending.  I had a table runner but that got ruined so I may get another one to save my wooden table.  Last year I used live eucalyptus and leaves, but this year, I’ll get a faux one so I can use it over and over.  I have plenty of candles and I got a few extra pumpkins from Trader Joe’s bringing my spending (for decor) to $50.

Last year’s table…dang can I top this?

I spent too much last year but I know I will be using those same cloth napkins, and placemats again along with some of the candle holders that I have on hand.

Well friends I’ll end this post here. I hope I’ve given you some table inspiration.  Don’t forget to like and subscribe, have a wonderful weekend, and Happy Thanksgiving.
