Hello friends, and welcome or welcome back to the blog!
“I don’t speak ill of the dead, it’s much more fun to demonize the living”. –Wednesday

How are you today? I hope you are staying productive, reading a good book, staying hydrated, and getting plenty of rest.
It’s July, sunshine! 🌞 And damn, it’s HOT?
Friends, this weather has been an absolute beast. 🥵🌡️ Wherever you are, I hope you’re staying safe and keeping cool. Enjoying anything outdoors has pretty much been out of the question lately, but honestly, I’m perfectly content staying inside with a few of my favorite activities.
Now that July is here, I feel like I’ve hit the ground running. I finally met with my financial advisor to talk through my retirement plans—a huge item checked off my to-do list. I’ve also been more consistent with my goals journal, jotting down ideas as they come to me, keeping up with my food journal, and, of course, making time for reading. There are still a few things I want to tackle, but overall, I’m in a really good place, and that feels like a great way to start the month. Now, I’m in a good place.
Today I’m wrapping up June and recapping everything here on the blog. So, let’s go!

I know I’m a little late to sunset June, but truthfully, there isn’t much to report. There are always little things going on, but lately it feels like much ado about nothing—which, honestly, might just be summer in general. It’s never been my favorite season. It always leaves me feeling a little restless and a little melancholy.
So, instead, I’m leaning into my own version of a lovely intermission. I’m adding more songs to my Fall playlist, happily blogging about Summerween, and quietly counting down until the end of August. (No shame. You all know who I am by now.)
That said, I certainly don’t want to rush anyone else’s summer. If this is your season, I hope you’re soaking up every bit of sunshine, enjoying some slow, gentle days, spending time with people you love, and maybe even sneaking away for a little change of scenery.
Until next time, friends, thank you so much for stopping by. Take care, friend, and I’ll see you back here soon. For now tho’…∞—Into the further we go..
