Maybe it’s all those cleaning videos I watch on YouTube. In a word? Relaxing. They’re so soothing that they sometimes put me to sleep. But it’s more than that. There’s something satisfying about taking pride in a space. It’s a tangible thing you did—whether it’s routine maintenance or simply giving something a little shine because it deserves it.

Now, let’s be clear: this is not me declaring my undying love for cleaning. I absolutely do not love cleaning. What I do love are all those products that make your space feel fresh, cozy, and happy.

With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to share a few products (not necessarily new ones) that I’ve used or want to try this season. And yes, I fully intend to do this before the Fall scents take over every aisle because friends… NO MORE PUMPKIN SPICE, PLEASE!!

(1) Proofed! Laundry Sheets – I found these by accident through my AM news emails, and I’ve been using them ever since.  This is the true test of me really not knowing what was in the previous sheets I was using.  It wasn’t until I started noticing bits of hard plastic on my clothing and linens fused by the dryer heat.  In fact…I’m still scraping them off.  These also have that fresh laundry smell that’s not overpowering. Even though I still use a liquid on some of my laundry, the sheets are the star of the show.

(2) 🆕Grove Co. AP Concentrate – I’m really excited to try this, mainly because of the scent, and well …it cleans too.  I’ve previously used other concentrated AP cleaners like Rosey (never get the Pumpkin Scent), and Thieves (smells like the holidays). They typically last longer, it’s cheaper in the long term, and it’s less waste.

(3) Shout Wipe & Go – Its voodoo magic is at work here because I use these for everything, and they (literally) can remove any kind of stain.  So for me, they’re not just on the go but a household staple.

(4) Scrub Mommy – Great AP dual-sided scrubber that can be used on dishes and the stove. I also use it to buff out scratches in my porcelain sink.

(5) Clorox Scentiva Wipes – Great coconut scent that’s not overpowering, and when you walk into your space, it smells so clean.  I only use this in the bathroom where surfaces need disinfecting.

(6) 🆕Mrs. Meyer’s AP Cleaner – While I’ve tried several of the Fall scents before, this one is new to me and honestly caught my attention for the fragrance alone. There’s no questioning its cleaning power—I’ve used it on and off for years. My only complaint is that it never seems to last very long, and the formula has changed over time. Still, I’m willing to give this new scent a try and see how it measures up.

(7) 🆕Wood cleaners & Wax – People underestimate the power of a good wood cleaner or polish.  I’ve actually seen Vloggers use AP cleaners on their wood, which is cringeworthy, but I remind myself that I’m from a different time, and furniture was made of real wood then, so you had to use a Pledge-type cleaner, or you would ruin it. I’ve been using Orance GLO but would really like to try Aunt Fannie’s, because I have some pieces and my wood banister that really benefit.

(8) Swiffer Extender Handle Duster – Where would I be without this tool?  We have 12 ft ceilings, and with this I can get all the crown molding in my home, all the vents, and anywhere dust or cobwebs can collect.

(9) Bissell Steam Bot – The best investment ever!  Mine is a few years old, and hands down, I don’t know what I’d do without it.  This powerful steamer is good for everything.  It’s fantastic on windowsills (NO CLEANER NEEDED). I mainly use it to clean the grout in my bathroom and the grout on my floor.  But be WARNED, you will see grime that you never thought existed. This should go without saying: “Steam is HOT”; read the instructions, please.
