My “Mini” Fall Home Tour

Hello Friends and Subbies! Welcome to the blog today.

I hope everyone is doing well on this Friday, and I can’ believe we are heading into the 3rd week of September.  Time goes by so fast when your busy, and we’ve been busy round here.  I know Fall doesn’t official start until Septmeber 22nd, but I wanted to share a Fall Home Tour peek, as I’ve been gathering a few things and setting up a few vinegetts around my home.

It’s not dripping with orange, yellow, and “Happy Fall Ya’ll” signs (that’s over the top for me) but just a few touches here and there as this is my favorite time of year, and decorating makes me happy.

I only decorate the main areas (living, dining, and entry) as upstairs remains neutral through the year…well except for Christmas (LOL).  So I’ve incorporate what I hauled from my storage unit, a few DIY’s with my Cricut, and some new things I got on sale. I will try to link as much as I can.

Entryway Area

I have just a few Fall items right at my entryway since my entry is tecnically my living room.  Nothing in this little vinette was purchased.  This was all from my storage unit haul.

Pumpkin Patch Sign (Michaels), Black birds (Amazon), Vintage typewriter (Etsy…I usually put a quote in there for Halloween), Wood Bead Garland (Target), Assorted Pumpkins (Target Dollar Spot), Ceramic arichoke (Crate & Barrell Outlet), Pumpkin Candle (Target Dollar Spot).

Coffeetable

This little bench is my coffee table.  Since the foodprint of my living room is so narrow I’m using an Ikea bench for my table which as been working out fine.  I just have a few items placed here and the only new addtition is the Teak Wood Candle.

Wooden Pot (H & M Home), Pinecones (Micheals…I spray-painted a few white), Acorns (Micheals…they are actually Christmas ornaments), Two-toned Pumpkin (Target Dollar Spot), Wooden Hand (Ikea), Small blackbird (Amazon), Teak Wood Candle (TJ Maxx), Marble coasters (West Elm)

Bookshelves

In the past I’ve had several shelves for decor but since last year we reorganized our DVD collection and I purchased 2 bookshelves for the living room.  Currently I’m regulated to the top shelf (of each bookcase) and one additional shelf for decor (so sad), but I’m making it work.

Shown is the top of a shelf and one in the middle.  All the pumpkins are from my storage unit but I believe they were purchased at Michaels and Target,  Porcelin house (Target…it lights up), Candle (Walgreens), Candle Sleeve (my DIY), Small blackbird (Amazon)

Fireplace Living Room Side

My wierd little fireplace has 3 sides, (living room, dining room, front area) but it only has a 2 inch mantle so adding decor to it has been tricky as I don’t want it to come crashing down.  I have added a few things which I meantioned in my storage unit haul, and a few new things.

LIVING ROOM SIDE: White pumpkins (Michaels), Plaid pumpkin (TJ Maxx), Wooden House (Michaels…painted matt black), Leaves (Michaels), Iron Candleholders (Magnolia Market…the tall ones that I purchased are SOLD OUT, but these are almost the same), Framed art (Studio McGee at Target), Blackbird (Amazon)

Fireplace Dining Room Side

DINING ROOM SIDE:   Hammond Tapered Holder (West Elm…I got mine on sale for $6, Amazing), Get Cozy Sign (DIY Cricut Project), Plaster Abstract Art (DIY), Basket and Accessories (I’ve had them for years, but I’m sure the blanket is from Amazon, and the pumpkin from Michaels

Dining Room Buffet

The buffet has always been a favorite area, and the number one reason is real estate.  Here I have the most surface to work with.  Also I have decor at the front door and on my dining room table but I’ll cover that in a full tour later.  The decor here is minimal, and I love Fall but I still need things to be accessible and functional.

Wooden doe bowl and cutting board are from the Goodwill (I think), Tapered Candle Holders (Amazon), Black Velvet pumpkin with embelishments (Michaels), Artwork (DIY), Small wreath with ribbon (DIY), Pinecones (Michaels), Blackbird (Amazon)

Stairwell Area

In front of my stairwell I have a small sidetable that was originally in my foyer at the old place, but since there is no room here, this is where it’s landed. (This is also the future spot for my Christmas tree because it won’t be in the way during passing) I did purchase a metal cabinet from Ikea which I use for overflow cleaning products, that sits in the first landing of the stairwell.  Since the walls are stark white, and cabinet is black I think the orange and tans bring a nice accent.

Books in both photo’s are some of my own, and the others are thrifted.  Wood Bead Garland (DIY), Gold Pumpkin (Target Dollar Spot), Candle (Burlington), Fall Is In the Air Sign (DIY Cricut Project), Acorn (Michaels), LED Candles (Amazon…these are great becaues I put them on a timer to come on every day after 8pm).

At this point I only want a lantern for the fireplace area, and a blanket which should be here next week via a gift credit from West Elm. With the candles (I purchased), a black and white geo print doormat, and a door wreath at TJ Maxx (which I’ll share soon), my Fall decorating is a wrap.  All I need now is to que in the colder weather and that’s it. (LOL)

Thanks so much for visiting the blog today.  I’d love to know how you are decorating your home for the season, OR NOT.  (LOL). Don’t forget to follow, and subscribe the blog.  Have a great weekend!
