I know that now more than ever our world has been disrupted from our normal activities and during this time it’s hard to find balance, and focus on daily tasks that need to get done.
Music has always been an outlet for me. For some people, it’s nostalgic and reminds them of a time forgotten. In some instances, a certain song can evoke memories of a more simplistic time when you didn’t feel like you had the weight of the world on your shoulders.
There is all kinds of music for different moods or periods in your life. Music to exercise to, to keep you motivated, to sleep, or to just wind down. I’m always searching for music that I can work to or get my chores done.
It’s a distraction from all the rumblings of the world and something about this music filling my home and space allows me to free my mind. It lends to the background so you hear it but it doesn’t disrupt what you’re doing.
I know that LoFi music has been around for years and has recently seen a resurgence since the pandemic, so I wanted to share a few channels that I’m loving YouTube.
“Lo-fi” means “low-fidelity,” a term for music where you can hear imperfections that would typically be considered errors in the recording process.
