That’s a Wrap! Time To Unpack the December and January on the Blog
Hello friends, and welcome or welcome back to the blog!
Quote for today
“Men don’t have to pay attention the way we do. Men die because they make mistakes. Women? We die because we’re female.”
― Grady Hendrix, The Final Girl Support Group”
How are you today? I hope you are staying productive, reading a good book, getting plenty of water and rest, and enjoying the Season.
The winter months are whooshing by in a whirl of confusion and turmoil, but here we are in February, so I’m unpacking December and January on the blog. January got away from me, and I never did a wrap of December, which was also busy with activities, celebrations, and wrapping up the podcast. I figured now is a good a time as any.
***The New Year!***
I never make resolutions. That’s just a setup to fail. Instead, I focus a little bit on myself and my happiness a few months at a time. Last year, I was adamant about getting my physical (and mental) house in order and having more energy, so I tried a few green powers, and I’m happy to say that I’m still drinking the “Live It Up Greens.” Unfortunately, I can’t drink it daily because it “runs” 🐎 through my system. But it’s still an excellent boost of energy throughout the day.
I get that afternoon slump, and between 3 – 5 pm is unbearable. I’m still trying to find that balance by switching up a few things in my daily routine

Holiday Gifts & Shopping
Christmas past was all about beauty. I got lots of sheet masks, eye de-puffer patches, and comfy things for some self-care at home. In January, I did a bit of clothes shopping as I wanted to update my wardrobe. I’m into men’s dress shirts (this season) to wear under sweaters with my work slacks or jeans. The best place to get these is the Salvation Army, with prices from $4.99-$6.99 for a JosA Bank. You just can’t beat that. The regular price is $39-$65. Some other goodies I got:
Yves Saint Laurent Luxury Body Serum (Gift)
Kindle E-Reader (Gift)
Puma Club Sneaker
Wilo Puffer Tote (Gift)
(now, this is what the bag looks like, and I’ve seen folks selling it on Poshmark for $49-$60 dollars; however, this bag is only $29.99 at Marshalls or TJMaxx…never overspend on something you don’t need to)
Liner Coat, Everlane
Podcast and articles …oh my!
I’ve been enjoying some of my old favorites.
Rue Magazine (I also get the latest issue from the drugstore)
Apartment Therapy
A Home is Announced
