It’s Black-Owned Friday!

Posted on February 12, 2021February 2, 2022 by LifeByWyetha

Hello Friends and welcome to the blog today.

Today I’m sharing 5 more black-owned businesses with you.  Some of these fabulous creators can be found at Target (everyone’s favorite place).

The Honey Pot (Available at Target)

BEA DIXON | The whole reason I started The Honey Pot Co was that I was suffering from bacterial vaginosis for months and couldn’t get relief. One night, an ancestor visited me in a dream and gifted me with a vision to heal myself.

With her help, I created the Honey Pot Co to solve for what other brands wouldn’t, using the power of herbs.” (Source: THE Honey Pot)

Cards for All People (Black Card Revoked available at Target)

An answer for the culturally curious, Cards For All People makes fun, nostalgia-filled card games that test knowledge of cultural milestones and moments. Our games aim to bring people of all types together through laughter and friendly debate. (Source: Cards for All People)

The Lip Bar (Some of this line is available at Target)

MELISSA BUTLER | In 2012, I launched The Lip Bar now TLB because everywhere I looked, the media was telling women that beauty looked a certain way.

I hated it! So I started making lipstick in my kitchen because I believed beauty shouldn’t compromise health and because I was determined to change the way people thought about beauty. There is no standard! You are the standard. (Source: The Lip Bar)

Izzy & Liv

NICOLE | Black women come in all shades, shapes, sizes, and styles. We come from different walks of life, have varied interests, and a range of experiences. We are each unique and possess a beauty that is our own.

Still, oftentimes we feel an unspoken bond. This is true whether we are blood-relatives, life-long friends, or strangers in a room of unfamiliar faces, who give each other that familiar nod or reassuring smile that says “you have a friend here.”

This is the powerful, unexplainable bond that many of us have. It’s the aura Izzy & Liv taps into with our apparel and accessories. (Source: Izzy & Liv)

Unbothered Cap + Afro’s Ring Clutch + Sweet Brown Sugar Soy Candle + Reflections Journal + Kaftan Coverup + Just Chillin Tee

Stickiicki

CELIA | I created Sticki Icki to be a curated selection of fun, maybe sometimes quirky accessories and objects that easily add color and texture to your life and space.

I love the art of the hunt for that perfect piece that makes a home or outfit pop. The smallest thing can enrich your life – a beautiful basket, a cherished bowl, a gold-rimmed cup, or a favorite pair of earrings that become a family heirloom.

My aesthetic is a chic and minimal approach to a cozy, fun way of life. Hope you enjoy the shop and keep coming back for more!  (Source: Sticki_Icki)

Waxing Moon Bottle + Stoneware Face Plant Pot + Concrete Sculpture Set + Sisal Basket

I hope you liked my shortlist today.  These selections also make great gifts. I’ll be bringing you more black-owned businesses next Friday!

Thanks so much for visiting the blog today.  Don’t forget to follow and subscribe. — Peace —

You’re Welcome! I’ve been on the hunt for more businesses so I’ll post a few more. Also…we’ve played the “Black Card Revoked” game a few times, and it’s so much.
