Weekend

Breathe…Weekend

Breathe … it’s Friday, but unfortunately, there’s no rest for the weary.  Saturday is my one day to try to get some things done, but on Sunday I’m prepping for Monday because I have a conference, and I’m running the registration.  It’s going to be a busy week with no time to catch my breath.

It’s what I call the last push for Summer, and everyone is trying to get their meetings in before they head out on Summer Vacation.  All I want at this moment in time to stare at the wall and do nothing.

Updates

On another note, my Dad is home from the rehabilitation center and he’s doing well. In all honesty, I disliked where he was but I know it was good for him to get his strength back, and work on his reorientation.  On my last visit he was moving around without his cane or walker, and I’m over-the-moon proud.  All I have to say is that if you ask God for something … “Won’t He do it”, Yes He will!

This Week…

Even though I’m tired, it’s been a blessed week, and every day I wake up is a blessing.  Here’s a recap of what I’m loving [or not] this week.

[1] My evening cocktail was just what I needed earlier this week.  I love grapefruit juice, and everything I mix with it is delicious. This particular libation is ice on the bottom, with Gin, Unsweetened Grapefruit juice, and a little coconut sugar.

[2] This was my first week starting with “Hello Fresh”, and I have mixed feeling about it.  The meals were delicious and I think the plan is perfect for busy people, who don’t have time to deal with the grocery store.  However, I feel like I can get a better deal at the store.  I have a coupon for $40 dollars off your first box —-> Here.

[3] Here is the prepared meal which was Crispy Southwestern Chicken Cutlets, the meal was tasty, and I’m definitely making it on my own because we typically will have leftover for at least 1 day.

[4] Styling my new ladder.  I can’t wait to get a few new blankets to go with the Mid-Century Modern Farm style I’m going for.
