SYNOPSIS:

The sleepy little town of Woodsboro just woke up screaming. There’s a killer in their midst who’s seen a few too many scary movies. Suddenly nobody is safe, as the psychopath stalks victims, taunts them with trivia questions, and then rips them to bloody shreds. It could be anybody.

MY RATING: (★★★★)

This is one franchise that I truly enjoy.  I know people have heard that the Screams are silly or campy and not that great, but in true form Wes Craven breathed life into the slasher/boogeyman movies.  We were saturated with so many during the 80s that people just got tired of the same old story.  I can say that Scream is also a mystery that began with an unsolved murder. All the movies have particular scenes that delve into the do and don’t of horror movie sequals, and what to expect within those sequals.

Each new movie in the franchise ties back the the previous movie and a story.  Once you see them all it begins makes more sense, and how the added characters over the years feed into one another.  One thing to remember with this franchise is that everyone is a suspect.

WARNING:  The Scream franchise is notorious for graphic scenes, knarly kills, and plenty of blood.  It’s a Wes Craven joint.  Did you expect anything less?

With all that said …Happy Viewing – If you dare!
