31 Days of Halloween: Day #16, Shaun of the Dead
Welcome to the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies.
As Bertrand Russell once said, “The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation.” I think we can all appreciate the relevance of that now.
Hello Friends, and welcome. Its day 16 in the 31 Days of Halloween: Movie Edition. 🍂💀🎃 The weather is finally cooler and I’m ready for that perfect Fall drink, while I walk through the leaves.
MOVIE: Shaun of the Dead
Director: Edgar Wright
IMBD Rating: 7.9
Runtime: 1h 39m
Tomato Meter: 92% 🍅
Genre: Comedy, Horror
Kill Meter: HIGH (I mean it’s Zombies) 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪
SYNOPSIS: Shaun is a 30-something loser with a dull, easy existence. When he’s not working at the electronics store, he lives with his slovenly best friend, Ed, in a small flat on the outskirts of London. The only unpredictable element in his life is his girlfriend, Liz, who wishes desperately for Shaun to grow up and be a man. When the town is inexplicably overrun with zombies, Shaun must rise to the occasion and protect both Liz and his mother.
MY RATING: (★★★★★) There is no secret that is one of the funniest horror movies I’ve seen, as it’s meant to be so. What’s not to love about the Zombie apocalypse and funny banter about the Zombie apocalypse and ways to kill them. I mean when is Simon Pegg not funny. This is one you’ll enjoy that you don’t have to pay that close of attention to, and it’s great for a crowd.
With all that said …Happy Viewing and enjoy the movie!
