My 2022 Fall Decor Preview

Hello beautiful, and Happy Wednesday! Welcome to the blog today.

QUESTION OF THE DAY
Imagine while you were sleeping that all of your problems were solved? When you wake up, how will you know that things are better?

What’s up friends…it’s a beautiful day to have a beautiful day.  I hope you’re staying cool in these sweltering temps, keeping yourself hydrated, and enjoying the rest of summer.

Today I’m sharing some Fall decor trends for the upcoming 2022 season.  I’ve been searching on design blogs, Apartment Therapy, HGTV, catalogs, and yup Pinterest to name a few, just to see what’s trending this year for Fall.

The one thing I’ve noticed is that not a lot has changed. With the exception of the Farmhouse Fall trend falling off a bit as people move away from the buffalo check, scripted pumpkins, and overtly fall signage.

Currently, the style is trending towards timeless pieces, large mirrors, thrift store finds, and modern items that can be used up until the Christmas holiday season.

You can’t go wrong with incorporating some of these items into your Fall decor style.

  • Rich Tones & Neutrals
    • Blacks, midnight blues, deep forest greens
    • Rich burgundy
    • dark golden shades
    • a variation of rust colors
    • creams and tans, or clean white
  • Foliage
    • Dried or fresh Eucalyptus
    • branches from your yard
    • grocery store arrangement
  • Collected personal items or knick nacks
  • Wooden pieces
  • Moody wall art botanicals, dark forest or landscapes, along with
  • Mixing vintage with a touch of modern

Dark Colors & Wood Accents With a Hint of Orange

Rich Florals and Forest Art

Classic Meets Statement

A Few Items for the Style Board

1 – ROUND BREAD BOWL
2 – AMBER GLASS PUMPKIN
3 – VINTAGE BRASS CANDLESTICK
3 – BRASS FINISH CANDLEHOLDER
4 – OPEN FRAMED LANTERN
5 – STYLES THROW BLANKET
6 – MODERN ART
7 – ARCHED MIRROR
8 – DRIED EUCALYPTUS
9 – VICTORIA BLACK VASE

Now I’m all about this style.  I can’t paint but I can create the vibe by switching out the lighter neutrals for some darker tones, adding some brass, and wood accents, and bringing in some branches, and just a few pumpkins (I have so many) Which will give me the modern Fall style I’m going for. I also have the option of wall decals that are “renter friendly”, but that’s something to explore later.

Last year I didn’t use half of what I brought home from my storage unit and since I need to purge several items, I’m donating (unless you want it…LOL) most of the signage, and several of the decorated pumpkins.  Last year I lucked up and got several real pumpkins that lasted through to Thanksgiving.  I’d be happy to share that soaking recipe… it’s really easy.
