31 Days of Halloween: Day #11 … My Favorite Jamie Lee Curtis Horror Flicks
Welcome back to my 31 Days of Halloween series. Today is Day #11, and it’s all about Jamie Lee Curtis.
Hands down Jamie Lee is my favorite actress when it comes to 80s horror movies. When I say my daughter and I love them. We really love them, and last year we dedicated a day all to Jamie. This year we will definatley include Halloween Kills.
Today I’m sharing my favorite Jamie Lee Curtis horror movies!
Remember the evolution of horror was still in it’s toddler stages in the 80s but it’s definitely come a long way from it 50s and 60s counterparts. Directors and film-makers were experimenting and pushing the limits beyond what your imagination would be. The modern-day horror movie was beginning to mirror real life-horrors.
My Jamie Lee Favs!
STORYLINE: On Halloween night of 1963, 6-year old Michael Myers stabbed his sister to death. After sitting in a mental hospital for 15 years, Myers escapes and returns to Haddonfield to kill. [Technically this would fall under the ’70s, but it’s a favorite so it makes the cut]. |

The town is commemorating the centenary of the shipwreck and Father Malone discovers that the ship was wrecked by six founder fathers of the town. The vengeance of their victims will be the death of six people. |
STORYLINE: A masked killer stalks four teenagers who were responsible for the accidental death of a little girl six years earlier, at their high school’s senior prom. |
STORYLINE: While Sheriff Brackett and Dr. Loomis hunt for Michael Myers, a traumatized Laurie is rushed to hospital, and the serial killer is not far behind her. |
STORYLINE: In classic horror film genre that launched a movie franchise, a pedophile who was murdered by a lynch mob returns years later in terrifying nightmares of his killers’ teenage children. |
![]() STORYLINE: Laurie Strode confronts her long-time foe Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. |
