12 Days of Christmas … Day #10, Christmas Eve Traditions

Posted on December 23, 2020December 23, 2020 by LifeByWyetha

Hello Friends and welcome to the blog.  Today is Day #10 in the 12 Days of Christmas, and I’m sharing some Christmas Eve traditions.

——

Christmas Eve is never set in stone, and I’m usually doing something different each year.  However, a few things never change.  Every year we add something new or update something old but it’s always fun.

It’s been a year and we could all use some traditions to soothe things over and finish out the year on a good note.

LBW Disclaimer

I always have great fun creating clusters of illustrations so it’s only natural that I would gravitate towards the Christmas holiday, and create an infographic of our Christmas Eve Traditions.

Christmas Eve Traditions

I’m not sure how we came to wear themed clothing or pajamas but it’s been added to the list of traditions and I really enjoy it.

We always have Christmas music playing in the background.  It’s been the soundtrack for December and always a tradition in our house.

I try to get around to making cookies early but that never happens because I’m usually at work.  Even though I wasn’t physically at work it’s been hard to pull myself away for a few hours to bake so I’ll start today, and will finish up on Christmas Eve.  I’m only making the molasses and the sugar cookies this year.

Because USPS is always slower with the holiday rush of deliveries I will have gifts to wrap. I’m always finishing up a few and this year is no exception.

I also prep my Christmas dinner, however this year we are making a breakfast bake the day before so we can relax on Christmas morning and just heat and eat.

——

What are some of the things you always do on Christmas Eve?  Do you have any family traditions that have been carried on through the years, or do you just wing-it.  Share your traditions and thoughts down in the comments.

Well my lovelies, I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday as I’m down to only 2 days left in my Christmas series.  Have an awesome day! — Happy Holidays to You and your Families.–
