Hello to all my lovely people, and Welcome to the blog!
If this is your first time, I’m glad you stopped by, and I hope you consider subscribing. If your already part of the family … Welcome back.
I will make this short and sweet so there’s no podcast today.
How is everyone doing this Monday? I hope you had a great weekend and a Happy-Blessed Mother’s Day. I know this is hard but I know we can do this so “Stay positive, stay safe, be well, and keep your head up.”
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” + Psalm 147:3
Last week was very emotionally stressful for me as my family and I laid my Uncle to his eternal rest on Friday. It was physically and emotionally draining but provided some closure. Some part of me didn’t want to know the details but you don’t know … till you do.
I know he’s gone…
Now his daughter’s, his wife, sisters, brothers, cousins, and friends have to grieve and deal with his passing. I’ve stopped crying (for the most part), but it’s still one of those things that I don’t mind purging.
I think about him when I was younger, and I have fond memories of some aspects of his life. He was the OG Gentle Giant. He wasn’t a man of many words but when he spoke you listened. Musically gifted, always humble, always gracious, and always loved. Rest.In.Love. “Lightening Licks”
I’ve never felt more tired, and I know I’m going through the motions, exercise was hard, I burned myself on a cast iron pan, so now I’m muddling through my day because I know that it’ s not healthy to wallow in grief. So I read my Bible passages, and move forward.
Mother’s Day …
My Sunday was awesome, as I was greeted with well wishes and blessings. My daughter gave me the best day ever “She is my light in dark places, and whenever I’m going through something she’s there … I LOVE YOU BONKA!” We had a casual day filled with food, sweets, and a few movies, and it was just what I needed. No chores, no schedule, and no rushing through.
With that, I’ll end this here. Again … thanks for hanging with me today, and if you haven’t subscribed to Life by Wyetha, then get on it … and join the family. I would love to have you at my virtual table … and as always. — Know Thyself —
