Welcome to the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies
Quote for Halloween
“Zombies are the real lower-class citizens of the monster world, and that’s why I like them.” – George Romero

Hello, friends, and welcome to Day #16 of the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies. We’re almost at the end of this week’s theme, and I’ve really enjoyed sharing some movies that I continue to love. Stay tuned for a quiz as we close things out tomorrow before heading into an entirely new theme. 🎃
I love Halloween, but October even more. It’s always a busy month for me with work and meetings, so anytime I get to come here, switch gears, and focus on all things Halloween brings me a little bit of delight.
What are you most looking forward to this Halloween? The decorations? Scary movies? Maybe a costume party…do folks still do those? Okay, now I’m dating myself. LOL
Anyway, before I age myself any further, let’s get back to today’s movie.
🌕 🔮 We enter 🕯️🧹…
…The Witching Hour”🧙🏼♀️🐈⬛.
This week is all about witches, and I’ve only touched the tip of the broomstick 🧹 for this theme, because there are literally hundreds to choose from that I deem worthy of a looksee. From covens to cauldrons to creepy neighbors, babysitters, and school drama, these movies cover the gamut of all things witchy. With that, today’s feature.
DAY #16
MOVIE: The Witches of Eastwick, 1987
IMDb: Rating: 6.6
Genre: Dark Comedy, Witch Horror, Fantasy
Starring: ✨ Cher ✨ Susan Sarandon ✨ Michelle Pfeiffer ✨ Jack Nicholson
SYNOPSIS: 🕯️
Three small-town friends, Alexandra (Cher), Jane (Susan Sarandon), and Sukie (Michelle Pfeiffer), each having lost the man in their lives, are feeling unfulfilled — until a furtive stranger, Daryl Van Horne (Jack Nicholson), arrives and begins courting each of them in turn. Eventually, Daryl tells them that they are witches. But as the three friends spend more time at his mansion, enjoying themselves and learning about their powers, they begin to worry about Daryl’s ultimate intentions. [TRAILER]
“I don’t think that men are the answer to everything.”
“Then why do we always end up talking about them?”
🧠 THOUGHTS: Classic 80s movie with A-list actors; that’s extremely entertaining. It’s a grown-ass movie that’s not disturbing or unsettling. It’s not necessarily Practical Magic vibes either; it’s just good fun.
I hope you enjoyed your Day #16 movie post; stay tuned for the last day of this week’s theme.
