Welcome to the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies
Quote for Halloween
“I’ve seen enough horror movies to know that any weirdo wearing a mask is never friendly.” – FRIDAY THE 13TH, Part VI: Jason Lives
Hello, friends, and welcome to Day #15 as we make our way through the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies, where I’ve been featuring a different movie every day this month.
A lot of meticulous planning has gone into choosing the weekly themes, selecting movies I think you’ll enjoy, and even throwing in a few games along the way. So, I hope you’re enjoying the series and that you’ll stick around for today’s witchy feature. 🎃
And if you haven’t seen Practical Magic 2… what are you waiting for? Go see it!
🪶📜 Now …
Back to …The Witching Hour”🔮 🐈⬛.
This week is all about witches, and I’ve only touched the tip of the broomstick 🧹 for this theme, because there are literally hundreds to choose from that I deem worthy of a looksee. From covens to cauldrons to creepy neighbors, babysitters, and school drama, these movies cover the gamut of all things witchy. With that, today’s feature.
DAY #15
MOVIE: Autopsy of Jane Doe, 2016
IMDb: Rating: 6.8
Genre: B-Horror, Psychological Thriller, Witch Horror
Starring: ✨ Brian Cox ✨ Emile Hirsch ✨ Ophelia Lovibond
SYNOPSIS: 🕯️
After a massacre, Sheriff Burke delivers an unidentified body to Tommy Tilden and Austin Tilden. As they perform an autopsy, impossible discoveries emerge. Each new finding deepens a mystery that threatens their survival. [TRAILER]
“Everybody has a secret. Some just hide them better than others.”
🧠 THOUGHTS: This is a strange one because at first you don’t know what direction the film is taking. As they further get into the autopsy of the Jane Doe, things become more evident, and it turns into something a bit more unsettling. As far as witch horror goes, buckle up… this one’s good.
I hope you enjoyed your Day #15 movie post; stay tuned for Day #16.
