Welcome to the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies
Hello Friends, and welcome to Day #3 of the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies, 2026. In this (Blog-tober) series, I will post every day for 31 days in October. This year I’m continuing the movie series with a new theme each week.

Week #2 – The Last Recording Week [Days 6-11]
Week #3 – The Witching Hour Week [Days 12-17]
Week #4 – The Brain Buffet Week [Days 18-24]

Maniac Matriarch Week Continues
This week is dedicated to the women who hold their families together—until they’re pushed too far. These matriarchs are fiercely protective, relentlessly determined, and just a little (or a lot) unhinged when it comes to defending the people they love or settling old scores. The phrase “hell hath no fury” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Whether they’re demanding loyalty, seeking revenge, or making sure everything goes their way, these women prove that crossing the family matriarch is almost always a very bad idea.
