Hello friends, and welcome, or welcome back, to the blog!
“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.” ― Kurt Vonnegut, Mother Night
How are you today? I hope you are staying productive, reading a good book, staying hydrated, and getting plenty of rest.

Aug-tober is done, and September is here aren’t you so excited? I guess that’s just me.
Ahhh September, that time of year when the kiddos are back in school, vacations are over, and everyone gets back into the rhythm of work, school, activities, and obligations…oh my! It’s a lot, which is why, for the last 30 years, I’ve taken the first 5–10 days of September off.
The “official” title is vacation, but back in the day, when my daughter was school-age, it was time to get her acclimated to a new teacher, fill out forms, get my home in order, and get our schedules straight.
Very seldom did I actually go anywhere—and I would pay for that later. I couldn’t always afford a big vacation for us, so my time off became our time. We’d do touristy things around town or take a really short trip, but mostly it meant I could devote all my time to my daughter—playing, reading, making things, and just being together.

When I think back, it was stressful, and it’s the one reason I always reflect on September. Where we came from and how far we’ve gone. But I digress…When I reminisce about you, my God…♪♫

MOVIE LINKS
I did whine last month about Gilmore Girls, but I’ve started watching it on Hulu, which is getting me into the spirit of the season. I was treated to a movie this month, which is nice during the day because you get to watch the movie in peace, and I’ve also managed to squeeze out a few others. I won’t be including any documentaries this time around.
Ghostwatch (AMC, 1992)
Grave Encounters (Shudder, 2011)
The Devil Wears Prada 2 (Hulu, 2026)
Insidious: Out of the Further (2026)

Friends, that ends last month’s blog happenings, which isn’t that much, and I’m ok with that. I’m fully decorated for Fall, except for some art and pillow covers, but those will wait. Maybe one day I’ll get my act together and take some decent pictures of what I’ve added to my home for the season.
The real star is Halloween, and I have 3 bins full of goodness. 🎃
Until next time, thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you’re finding little pockets of joy wherever this season finds you. Take care. 🤎 ∞—Into the further we go…
