Hello friends, and welcome or welcome back to the blog!
Quote for today
“You must make choices, or the world will make them for you.” – Witchcraft for Wayward Girls.”
Hello friends, and Happy February! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. January seemed to come and go in the blink of an eye. The month has given me some reflection, balance, and frustrating moments, all covered in a sheet of ice, which folks round’ here call “Snowcrete,” which is a combination of snow, sleet, and ice. With that, let me take some time to unpack January.
I hope you’re doing well this winter—leaning into the slower pace, enjoying a good book, and giving yourself the space for a much-needed mental reset.

Not gonna lie, I struggled a bit in January (personally), but I got things done. I’ve been knocking out some home-related tasks, taking care of some much-needed appointments, reading, but most of all working on me. It’s constant, and trust me, some days my body is like “nah”, but my feet hit the floor every morning, and I’m thankful for that reflection and those aches and pains.

📚My 2026 Goodreads Challenge!
I’ve finally curated my Goodreads Challenge for 2026!
[POST SNIPPET] … To get ready, I’ve been combing through my TBR to clear out the disappointments and those long-sitting titles I know I’ll never actually read. For 2026, I’m setting a few new parameters for myself: more mysteries, plenty of horror, a little women’s lit, some pop-culture picks, and a handful of books that are at least 15 years old. Check out the full post here!

[POST SNIPPET] Today I’m rolling Days 2 -4 of the 12 Days of Christmas series into one and sharing a few no-wait gift ideas. These gifts might still require a store visit, but with a little strategy, they can be just as easy (and faster) than ordering online. Check out the full post here!
