Hello friends, and welcome or welcome back to the blog!
Quote for today
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”― Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
How are you today? I hope you are staying productive, reading a good book, getting plenty of water and rest, and finding some peace in these chaotic times.
April is done, and now we begin May. Goodbye to those beautiful 70-degree breezy days. It’s already in the 80s (on my side of the globe) and muggy. Traditionally, I’ve never liked summer for several reasons. For one …It’s so damn hot (climate change people) you can’t do anything until the sun goes down, and by then it’s time to get ready for a workday which [literally] drags. However, I do enjoy eating and electricity, so I guess I’ll keep that one. (LOL)
But enough of my groaning. I had planned to crank out a few more posts for the end of April, but as you know. Life be lifin’, so I didn’t have the time. I’m hoping to squeeze them in for May, but that’s up in the air at this point. With that, let’s get into …everything I got into for April.

Movies, * documentaries *, and TV for April
My viewing ticked up slightly in April, as I promised myself more lazy days. Here’s what I saw.
👎🏾The Baby in the Basket (Tubi)
This is the worst movie I’ve seen in a long time. Why didn’t I pay attention to the 3.4 IMDb rating…awful
👍🏾September 5 (Paramount, ✨✨✨7.1 IMDb)
👍🏾 Sinners (I must see this again, so damn good ✨✨✨✨, 8.2 IMDb)
🤔 The Parenting (Horror, Comedy ✨ 5.7 IMDb)
🤔 Timestalker (Quirky gem ✨, 5.5 IMDb)
👍🏾Cuckoo (yass! 5.7 IMDb but I enjoyed it)
April in Books
So many books, so little time (Frank Zappa), which is so [very] true. I can tuck into a book and escape everything. Check out the links for reviews, challenge updates, new titles, and my newsletter.
