Hello, friends, and welcome to day 20 in the 31 Days of Halloween!
Halloween Quote
“I know of witches who whistle at different pitches, calling things that don’t have names.” — Helen Oyeyemi, “White is for Witching”
Today, I’m wrapping up the third week in the series. It’s been a busy week (work-wise) planning and organizing a tour of community farms in the DC area. Now that that’s over, I only have one more event, and then l can spend the rest of the month relaxing and enjoying some movies. I’m done with all my Halloween decor, so I’m doing two easy DIYs to add to the collection. I posted these in the first week of my 31 days of Halloween series.
What I watched or rewatched this week:
MaXXXine (MAX) 👍🏾 Love it!
Hell Fest (Peacock) – I’ve seen this before but always missed the ending.
Terror Train (2022) – 🦠 ...this was a terrible movie remake ~ Do “F” with the original. (LOL)
Grotesquerie (FX) – I’m still watching but enjoying this one. I’m halfway through the season.
Here’s a recap of last week (Days 14-19)
Note: The “Round-Up” days are not included.
DAY #14 ~ I’ve listed the best new movies in 2024 so far, and nothing has under a 🍅 70% rating.
DAY #15 ~ I’m sharing some favorite horror movie villains. Let’s face it—villains make the movie, and if they are good, they’re memorable. The ones that have you questioning, could I really survive in their movie?
DAY #16 ~ Today, I’m sharing some (not-so-scary) Halloween movies not just for kids but the whole family. Check out these classic flicks.
DAY #17 ~ Six scary movies that will have you sleeping with the lights on and watching every dark corner.
DAY #18 ~ Not all horror franchises are worth their weight (so to speak), and in several instances, if the first one is a dud, you won’t give the second flick a chance. When you have so many to choose from, it’s hard to know where to begin, so I wanted to list my favorite movies that I keep going back to watch time and time again.
DAY #19 ~ This post is the Ultimate 80s Killer (not as in killer, but there are several) horror movie list. I’ve included some campy, a few slasher, some horror-comedies, and The King …Stephen King, that is. These movies aren’t necessarily Oscar-worthy (but in that vein, most horror movies aren’t); these are just good ole fun.
Well, friends 🕯️, this ends my third week in the series. Stay tuned. Next week, I’m sharing books (old and new) and maybe reviewing them. — Happy Halloween! 🍂🧡👻🎃
