Posted on October 17, 2023November 21, 2023 by LifeByWyetha

Welcome to the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies.

Movie Quote
Something came out of the fog and tried to destroy us. And in one moment, it vanished. But if this has been anything, but a nightmare and if we don’t wake up to find ourselves safe in our beds, it could come again.

Hello Friends, and welcome. Its day 17 in the 31 Days of Halloween: Movie Edition. 🍂💀🎃 Its October, my favorite time of year…what’s not to love.

Today’s Feature

MOVIE: The Fog
Rated: R
Year: 1980
Director: John Carpenter
IMBD Rating: 6.8
Runtime: 1h 29m
Tomato Meter: 75% 🍅
Genre: Horror, Thriller
Kill Meter: LOW  🔪🔪

SYNOPSIS: Strange things begin to occurs as a tiny California coastal town prepares to commemorate its centenary. Inanimate objects spring eerily to life; Rev. Malone (Hal Holbrook) stumbles upon a dark secret about the town’s founding; radio announcer Stevie (Adrienne Barbeau) witnesses a mystical fire; and hitchhiker Elizabeth (Jamie Lee Curtis) discovers the mutilated corpse of a fisherman. Then a mysterious iridescent fog descends upon the village, and more people start to die.

MY RATING: (★★★★) When watching a movie from the 80s keep in mind …it’s a movie from the 80s. It’s not going to be technologically fantastic, there will be no graphics or special effects.  With that said I love this classic 80s movie.  It’s not a slasher film, there’s isn’t a ton of blood and gore, but I still love it.  Mainly because of Adrienne Barbeau and Jamie Lee Curtis. Good story, creepy premiss, and a hook. What’s not to love about this …anyways.

Happy Viewing and enjoy the movie!
