6 Nostalgic TV Shows for Fall

Posted on September 4, 2019July 19, 2020 by LifeByWyetha

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday.  I’m here with a shortlist of 6 Nostalgic TV Shows to binge for the Fall season.

When curating this list I went back to older TV shows.  If you type Fall Television shows into Google, you get everything that’s premiering in 2019 for fall.

I wanted a list that embodies the Fall feeling.  So whether the show starts in the fall, or if it’s dark and moody it made it to my shortlist.  I’ve watched all of the shows listed at least 3 to 4 times over and they are hands down my favorite.

Gilmore Girls ~ Available to Stream or purchase on Amazon and Netflix

SYNOPSIS: Welcome to quaint Stars Hollow, Connecticut. People often mistake Independence Inn’s manager, headstrong single mom Lorelai Gilmore, and her equally willful teenage daughter, Rory, for sisters. Lorelai and Rory cope with the same emotional ups and downs, including Lorelai’s overbearing, old-money parents and the joys and frustrations of the male gender.

This heartfelt, humorous drama appeals to young and old alike with its blend of traditional family issues and hip, contemporary attitude. [Source Amazon]

Sherlock ~ Available to Stream or purchase on Amazon and Netflix

SYNOPSIS: In this contemporary version Dr. John Watson is a war vet just home from Afghanistan. He meets the brilliant but eccentric Holmes who serves as a consultant to Scotland Yard, advertises for a flatmate. Almost as soon as Watson moves into the Baker Street flat, they are embroiled in mysteries, and Sherlock’s nemesis, Moriarty, appears to have a hand in the crimes. [Source IMBD]

Buffy The Vampire Slayer ~ Available to stream and purchase on Amazon and Hulu

SYNOPSIS: This TV version of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” based on the film of the same title. Buffy is a Slayer, one in a long line of young women chosen for a specific mission: to seek out and destroy vampires, demons and other forces of darkness. [Source IMBD]

The X-Files ~ Available to stream or purchase on Amazon

SYNOPSIS:  FBI special agents investigate unexplained, mind-bending cases known as “X-Files.” Though the government is convinced that the outlandish reports are false, conspiracy theorist Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and realist Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), for most of the series, stop at nothing to prove that “the truth is out there.” [Source IMBD]

Twin Peaks ~ Available to stream on Netflix or purchase on Amazon

SYNOPSIS: A crime drama mixed with healthy doses of the surreal, this series is about FBI Agent Dale Cooper, who travels to the small logging town of Twin Peaks to solve the murder of seemingly innocent high schooler Laura Palmer. Almost nothing is as it seems, however, and the show’s sometimes eerie visuals, oddball characters, and wild dream sequences drive the point home. [Source IMBD]

Night Gallery ~ Available to stream or purchase on Amazon.

SYNOPSIS: Prepare for the chill of a lifetime as the master of suspense, Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone), hosts 98 stories of terror in this classic series, featuring every spine-tingling episode from all three seasons of Night Gallery.

I know fall is not all about watching copious amounts of television but it’s something about these shows that hold memories for me and my favorite time of year.

What are some of your favorite TV shows to watch in the fall? Are they up and coming, or vintage TV?  Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  Don’t forget to “like”, “leave a comment, or “subscribe”.  Happy binging! — Peace —
