Welcome back to the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies.
WEDNESDAY – SN. 2

🦇🕷️🎃👻💀
It’s Day 30 in the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies series. 🎃 As my series comes to a close, it’s sad because October has blown by so quickly. Friends, I hope you’ve had an excellent month, and I hope you’re planning something fun for the holiday. Don’t eat too much candy. 🍬🍭 (LOL)

I’m adding to the previous days of movies.

This week has been all about my favorite Halloween movies—but today, I’m switching things up a bit. 🎬 Technically, the whole month has been a celebration of films I’ve loved (or at least enjoyed), but on this 30th day of October, it feels only right to balance things out. So today, I’m diving into the other side of spooky season… the worst horror movies I’ve ever seen.
🍿🎬 Day #30 – Worst Horror Movies I’ve Ever Seen 🍿🎬
Contrary to the old “so bad it’s good” mantra, these movies are just plain bad—no sugarcoating it. From the dreadful plotlines and gaping plot holes to the complete lack of continuity and downright unbelievable moments, they’re the kind of films that make you question your life choices mid-watch.
Now, this is a far cry from something like The Bat (1959), whose campy, classic B-horror charm is exactly what makes it so endearing—even with its modest 17% on Rotten Tomatoes. These next ones? Not so lucky. 🎃
Baby in the Basket (2025)
Terror Train (2022)
Lovely Dark and Deep (2023)
The Curse of La Llorona (2019)
Jason X (2001)
House II: The Second Story (1987)
Vampires (1998)
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)
The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008)
The Village (2004)
The Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977)
Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000)
Pumpkinhead (1988)
House (1977)
The Covenant (2006)
Movies are always subjective—what doesn’t work for me might be someone else’s favorite spooky flick. But for me, these particular titles were just plain awful. And that’s okay! You’re not defined by what you watch, and not every film has to be a Ring, Get Out, or Sinners to be worth your time. The horror genre thrives on its variety—from the masterpieces to the misfires—and honestly, the bad ones give the greats their shine. To each their own, I say. 🎃
