Hello friends, and welcome [or] welcome back to the blog.

Friends, I hope you are doing well. Please take care, get plenty of rest, and remember to take your vitamins and drink plenty of water.
I know that Summer is the time for travel, but due to the heat and the high costs, I usually stay put and opt for stay-cations in my city, which require minimal travel and no hotel stay. My therapist tells me to “change your environment, and do something”. So in that spirit, I’m taking a weekend trip.
I’m only at my destination for two days, so traveling light is a high priority, as well as avoiding extra expenses and checking a bag. I usually go to the ATL, so I always bring extra things because I stay there for more than 5 days (which is normal). I feel like I have a bag just for toiletries, which is crazy. So, I thought I would create this post with some travel essentials, allowing me to enjoy my trip and eliminate the stress of what I need vs. what I shouldn’t bring.
I did create a checklist because I am the queen 👑 of lists. I’m also using Indyx to help me plan my outfits, with a bit of additional help from (you guessed it) The Good Trades travel hacks.
**My Travel Essentials**

Links
1 // Calpak Duffel Bag //
This was my splurge because I haven’t owned a decent duffel in about 8 years. Great size for weekends or a 2-3 day trip. This bag also has a separate shoe compartment at the bottom, which sold me—ample room on the inside with pockets for essentials.
2 // Air Tag //
A must if you check your luggage, but it’s also suitable for keys and electronics that can be easily lost. This gadget is available at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy.
3 // House of Marley Positive Vibe Headphones //
Great for long plane rides. Unfortunately, this particular model is sold out, so I’m on an email waiting list. I won’t have them before I travel, but they will make a lovely “me” gift.
4 // ThermoFlask //
A perfect slimmed-down version for your water bottle. My current water bottle is way too chunky, so this model is my top sustainable pick.
5 // Packing Cubes //
Great for separating intimates, or bathing suits, and dresses, and they are priced well on Amazon. These cubes also give you more room in your bag for extra items.
6 // Kindle //
I haven’t traveled anywhere in the last few years without a Kindle book. So whether I’m on the plane, killing time in the airport, or right before bed. There’s always time for another chapter.
7 // Loops Eye Mask//
This is a must, for puffy tired eyes or to brighten the area around your eyes, and definitely what I’m using after a long flight
8 // Compression Socks //
Call me a woman of a certain age, but compression socks are EVERYTHING! Great for long car rides, recommended for air travel, hikes, or if you’re out and about all day. My favorite is Dr. Motion, but you can find these at Target, Walmart, or Amazon. Trust me when I say … your legs will thank you.
9 // Quince Silk Sleep Mask //
I’ve never appreciated an item so much since it was gifted to me a year ago. This mask IS essential, especially if there is a time change, or if you want to catch some 💤 on the plane ride.
BONUS
10 // Calpak Mini Backpack //
I got this in addition to my duffel, and it’s all I’m carrying. I’m determined to travel light on this trip, that’s only 2 1/2 days. It can fit my eyeglass case, my Kindle, wallet, and a few essentials.
🦄🍭🌈🧁
Friends, I’ll end this here. What item is your must-have when you travel? Let me know in the comments. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. I’ll see you soon.– Peace
