Friends, I hope you are doing well. Please take care, get plenty of rest, and remember to take your vitamins and drink plenty of water.

I love a good thrift store, even though it’s sometimes hit or miss. I have my usual haunts, but sometimes I have to hit at least three before I find anything. It’s also a matter of not cluttering my home. I’ll swap out decor for the seasons, and I love something that I didn’t pay a lot of money for, while helping these home items stay out of the landfill.
I donate several times a year. Just because it no longer serves me doesn’t mean that someone else won’t like it, and this applies to both old items and new things that I’ve never found a purpose for.
I find that, yes, your Goodwill and Salvation Army stores are great, but sometimes local thrift stores or warehouses have some great gems.
Thrift Store Items I’m Always on the Hunt For
I’ve included a few links, but the rest are just suggestions and stock images from Canva and Amazon.
1 // Broaches
2 // Men’s dress shirt
3 // Mirrors // Vintage Asymmetrical mirror // Arched style mirror
4 // Frames // Small arched frame // Oval picture frame (All of the frames in my home are thrifted except for two)
5 // Books (I remove the covers for decor, unless it’s a book I’m reading)
6 // Vinyl
7 // Vases
8 // One-of-a-Kind Items // 1930 French Photo Books
9 // Art [Wabi-Sabi] (Large canvases can be DIYs for new art)
Note// For comparison, your in-store thrifted items will be cheaper than any place you choose online (depending on the items)
Online Thrift Stores
Mercari (Everything) 💵
Poshmark (Everything) 💵
Thred Up (Clothes Only) 💵
Joliette (French Home Decor & Furniture) 💵 💵 💵
I’m hoping to visit the stores before summer is over, as people will be looking to declutter their homes. The pieces I select are intentional, and I love exploring to see what I can find and how I can incorporate my finds into my current decor. 🪴 📚
I’ll end here, but I hope I’ve motivated you to visit your local thrift store and do your part in keeping these items out of landfills. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. I’ll see you soon.– Peace
