SYNOPSIS: Six friends hire a medium to hold a seance via Zoom during lockdown, but they get far more than they bargained for as things quickly go wrong. When an evil spirit starts invading their homes, they begin to realize they might not survive the night.
MY RATING: (★★★★★) HANDS DOWN, THIS IS THE SCARIEST and BEST MOVIE MADE during the pandemic. It’s a brilliant idea to create an entire movie around a zoom call since that was our mode of communication during that time. Would I get together to have a seance. HELL NO! Rule #1 Do not mess with the dead, Rule #2 Do not tamper with things you don’t understand …nuff said!
I loved this movie, and it no surprise that audiences loved it too. It’s the highest rated film in my 31 days so far. It’s (literally) under an hour, straight to the point, and it’s scary as hell. It’s about paranormal forces, not a lot of gore, but it will have you looking between your finger at things you can’t see. I don’t care what anyone says, never sit with you back to a door …that should also be a rule. So if you dare, check out the movie host a Shudder original.
