Wednesday: My Favorite Cooking Shows on TV & YouTube
Hello to all my friends and Welcome to the blog!
If this is your first time, I’m glad you stopped by, and I hope you consider subscribing. If your already part of the family … Welcome back.
Today I wanted a share a few of my favorite cooking shows on television and YouTube.
Wye’s Cooking Philosophy
When it comes to cooking I’m old school. My mom never used a recipe for anything, and she could bake and cook with ease. I wanted to be able to have that skill but I had no patience for the baking.
The goal is to hone my baking skills and I started really simply with cookies over the holidays last year. I still have several things on my list, but I now have the patience to do so.
Cooking comes a little easier because I can look at a recipe, remember the bulk of it, and adjust it to my liking. That recipe then becomes one of my staples that I add to the collection of recipes. It’s one of those miracle things I don’t question. (LOL)
Here is a shortlist of my favorite cooking shows.
Molly Yeh is the star of Food Network’s new series Girl Meets Farm. Molly Yeh is a classically-trained musician, cookbook author, and blogger who has given up the streets of New York City to bring viewers to her home on a sugar beet farm in the Midwest to dazzle them with her obsession with food.
Jump into the kitchen with Yeh as she offers up her own personal recipes and unique take on food and get a peek into farmhouse life and family traditions as she shares her favorite dishes for family visits, brunch with her girls, and farm supper. (Source | IMBD)
Focused on food and family, Kardea Brown shares not only her special recipes but the stories behind the family and culture that brings them to life. The cook and caterer hails from the Sea Islands of Charleston, S.C., where she grew up surrounded by a loving family and incredible food. (Source | IMBD)
Actress Tia Mowry is busy, between her parenting duties and acting work. But like many working mothers, she still finds time to make sure she has some downtime, during which she can prepare home-cooked meals for friends and family. This series follows Mowry as she makes fast, healthy meals. (Source | IMBD)
Donal is from Dublin, Ireland (currently living the LA life in California!) He is a food writer and a TV presenter on Star Kids on Food Network, and US Junior MasterChef on BBC One. Donal brings us great recipes from Asian dishes to sweet treats and some great healthy cooking along the way! (Source | YouTube)
Sara Lynn Cauchon has more than 1.4 million followers and over 100 million video views, The Domestic Geek is one of YouTube’s most popular cooking shows. Fans adore host Sara’s fresh, fun, no-fuss style of cooking, and her easy recipes are big on flavor and have a healthful twist.
There are hundreds of cooking shows and tutorials on TV and the web. What are some of your favorite chefs or cooking shows? Share them down in the comments below.
With that, I’ll close my post today, thanks so much for visiting the blog today and read my post. Stay safe, and be well. — Peace —
