February Releases I’m Adding to My TBR

Posted on February 14, 2026February 17, 2026 by LifeByWyetha

Hello, friends, and welcome to Life By Wyetha!

Quote
“Last night, you were unhinged. You were like some desperate, howling demon. You frightened me. Do it again.”
— Morticia, “The Addams Family”

What’s up, everyone! I hope you’re doing well and staying warm this season. We’ve had some seriously chilly temps on my side of the globe, and the “Snowcrete” that stood proudly on every corner, like little frozen islands reaching ten feet tall, has finally started to melt at 45 degrees.

Friends… the city looks downright yucky. Those once-pretty snowfalls have transformed into grimy mounds of black and brown with the occasional why-is-it-yellow surprise, all topped with a chalky layer of salt. Romantic winter? Nowhere to be found. Even my car (Bernadette) has lost her dignity—she desperately needs a bath—but patience. Winter doesn’t rush, and neither will I.

Everyone, consider this your gentle reminder to get plenty of rest, take your vitamins, and carve out time to read a good book or dive into an activity that brings you joy. And for the love of your sanity — put down that phone! The world will still be there when you pick it back up, but these quiet moments? They’re the ones that refill your cup.

Yes, these are six (6) Upcoming Horror Titles I’m adding to my TBR, all dropping in February

February Releases

(Feb. 10)
THE BODY, Bethany Morrow
288 pages, Mystery 🍿 Horror 🍿 Thriller
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Mavis broke from her parents’ congregation years ago, but she still hasn’t recovered. Their impossible expectations and soul-shredding critiques have dug deep into her mind, and she’s taunted by the knowledge that even when she’s done nothing wrong, she’ll never be right.

Now Mavis is afraid she’s about to lose the only thing she has: her husband, Jerrod. The man she’s always known was too good to be true. No one thinks she deserves him—not even after surviving the serial cheater they wanted her to stick by—and soon they’ll all find out they were right. Mavis realizes that Hell isn’t reserved for the afterlife.

And sinner or not, no one is coming to save her.

(Feb. 10)
TRAD WIFE, Saratoga Schaefer
310 pages, Feminism 🍿 Horror 🍿 Thriller
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
|When Camille Deming isn’t cooking, cleaning, or homesteading in her picture-perfect country farmhouse, she’s posting about her tradwife lifestyle for her online followers. She takes inspiration from other tradwives on social media, aspiring to be like them, but Camille’s missing a key component: a baby. And contrary to what she posts online, things with her husband Graham have been strained. Pressured by her eager followers, Camille fears that without a baby, her relationship will suffer and her social media presence will never grow beyond infancy.

(Feb. 10)
FOR HUMAN USE, Sarah Pierce
448 pages, Romance-Horror 🍿Humor
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Finding a human connection online has become impossible. Enter Liv: a dating app that matches people with dead bodies. Somehow, it has taken the world by storm. Millions of users are convinced that life with a corpse presents a better alternative to conventional relationships.

Flailing against Liv’s popularity, venture capital superstar Tom Williamson–whose company is funding Liv–isn’t buying it. Mostly because dating an embalmed cadaver, let alone monetizing it, is obscene.

It’s no secret that Tom struggles with people, dead or alive, but when he has a chance meeting with the woman who knows Auden (and his secrets) best, Mara Reed, he realizes everything is about to change for all three of them.

(Feb. 17)
THE DENIZENS, Brennan Lafaro
310 pages, Horror 🍿POP Fiction
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A small southern town surrounded by a living cemetery was the last place Sam Everett expected to find himself after the sudden death of his wife. Desperate to get away from the city and its memories, Sam flees to the tight-knit community of Maylene’s Hollow.

Except the Hollow holds a secret. The town won’t allow its dead to rest. Forced to wander the earth for hundreds of years, the denizens of the woods have had enough.

(Feb. 17)
BLOOD FIRE BABY, Eirinie Carson
304 pages, Horror 🍿 Mystery 🍿 Thriller
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Before the shadow appeared, Sofia thought mothering would be all sun-drenched light and white linen sheets, as seen advertised by the momfluencers of Instagram. In her gorgeous home anchored in a posh suburb, far removed from her origins, Sofia revels in her success.

Motherhood seems like the natural next step, but when her husband travels for a work trip, leaving Sofia all alone with their unnamed three-week-old baby, she can’t quite square how mothering falls solely in her lap. Nobody seems able or willing to help her: not her husband, not her best friend, and certainly not the zealot mother she cut off long ago.

(Feb. 24)
DOLL FACE, Lindy Ryan
304 pages, Horror 🍿Mystery 🍿 Thriller
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
H
orror author Jill has just moved to suburban New Jersey, hoping to fit in with the new PTA moms and maybe not weird everyone out with her Final Girl coffee mug. You know. Make some real friends.

But then a plastic face-masked serial killer begins slashing their way through town, one overly made-up mom at a time. The police are incredulous. The moms are indignant. And Jill is slowly wrapped into a killer’s murderous spree, until she might just be the last woman standing.
