Happy Holidays! and …Welcome or Welcome back to the blog.Â
âWouldn’t it be wonderful if everybody believed in everybody?â â A Season of Miracles
Hello, my friends. I hope you are doing well, feeling comfortable in your skin, enjoying the season, and taking some time to slow down.

Friends, itâs Day 10Â of the â12 Days of Christmas,â and the dĂŠcor is up, the shopping is done, the gifts are wrapped, Christmas dinner is planned, and the parties are behind us. With my holiday vacation officially set to begin, Iâm finally looking forward to slowing down and soaking in some much-needed time off.
Today I want to share some puzzles, cookie recipes, a few libations, and my Holiday Movie Bingo, so let’s get started.
Let’s Puzzle!
Our typical go-to is one of our 1,000-piece White Mountain puzzles, a tradition we come back to every year. Weâve tackled a Charlie Brown puzzle in the past, along with one featuring holiday stamps and wreaths. This year, weâre changing things up with a Hallmark holiday puzzle thatâs only 500 piecesâperfect for a quicker turnaround and instant satisfaction. Below are a few puzzles currently sitting in my shopping cart for next yearâs holiday season.
I love finding unique shops like Puzzles of Color, Puzzledly, and Gailson because I like supporting small businesses, but you can also find puzzles at Etsy, Target, Walmart, or White Mountain.
My Go-To Cookie Recipes
I always make three types of cookies during the holidaysâtheyâre my tried-and-true staples. Iâve veered off course over the years, experimenting with rosemary butter cookies, lemon sugar cookies, and even a cake I baked twice that still didnât turn out right (thanks to my oven running 15 degrees hotter than the setting). But cookies? Those I can always tweak and fine-tune until theyâre just right.

Holiday Spirits
I love my wine, but thereâs something special about when my daughter mixes up a festive cocktail. Each year she makes holiday drinks, and they are all delicious. This year, Iâm planning to try my hand at mulled wine. I found a few different recipes, but settled on one from All Right With Me. My only tweak is skipping the added sugarâbetween the apple cider and the wine, itâs already sweet enough.

Holiday Movie Bingo
I know this is a bit of a shameless plug, but I love sharing my holiday movie bingo. It could probably use a little tweaking, but if I overthink it, itâll never be ready in time for the seasonâso after hours of tinkering, Iâm calling it done. I do plan to add more cards eventually, but for now, three was all I could create without becoming repetitive. As we all know, most holiday movies follow the same familiar themesâunless youâre watching Krampus or Die Hard. And even then, they still stick to the basic holiday structure: one with action, the other rooted in folklore.
So print these out… enjoy, and if you think I should add more images, share your thoughts below.Â
