Welcome back to the 31 Days of Halloween in Movies.
👽 Would You Rather? 👽
Be the first to die in a scary movie, or the last one to be alive?
I’m back for day 18 part deux in the 31 Days of Halloween in movies—and it’s time for today’s feature. I hope you’re enjoying this Saturday, but most of all, get up, get out, and do something fun.

We’re on the last day of the week of “Cult Classics,” and as always, I’m saving the best for last. Light on the horror, but leaning heavily into kick-ass action and gore, it’s Aliens.

Day #18
MOVIE: Aliens
Director: James Cameron
Year: 1986
IMDB Rating: 8.4 (R)
Genre: Cyberpunk, Monster-Horror, Action, Alien Invasion
Runtime: 2h 17m
Tomato 🍅 Meter: 94%
Starring: ✨ Sigourney Weaver ✨ Carrie Henn ✨ Michael Biehn
SYNOPSIS: After floating in space for 57 years, Lt. Ripley’s (Sigourney Weaver) shuttle is found by a deep-space salvage team. Upon arriving at LV-426, the marines find only one survivor, a nine-year-old girl named Newt (Carrie Henn). But even these battle-hardened marines with all the latest weaponry are no match for the hundreds of aliens that have invaded the colony. [TRAILER]
MY RATING [0-5]: (✨5.00!✨) Aliens really stands on its own, even though it’s a sequel to Alien. While the original leans more into cyberpunk vibes and alien-invasion horror, Aliens blends those roots with high-stakes action and genuine scares. It’s terrifying, thrilling, and most importantly—it’s Ripley fully taking charge. For the best experience, I recommend watching the first three films to get the full context.
