Hello Friends and Welcome [or] Welcome back to the blog!
I hope this post finds you well—balanced between being productive, taking it easy, and enjoying all the cozy comforts that come with Fall. Don’t forget to rest, breathe, and take care of yourself. Today, I’m stepping away from the 31 Days of Halloween Series to unwind with something simple and stress-free. 🦇🕷️🎃👻💀

It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind of work, school, family, and home life. We give so much of ourselves to others that our own mental health often comes last—sometimes only after our bodies are already worn down and stressed. But self-care doesn’t have to look like the classic bubble bath and face mask (though that’s always a treat). A mental health day can be anything that helps you unwind and release the weight of everyday life.
Thank you to Davincified for sponsoring this post today!
My self-care break is a painting project. I haven’t painted anything since September (and that was a Sip n’ Paint), which is more about the atmosphere and the company and less about quieting the mind. I’m trying a paint-by-numbers kit by Davincified, which is my first paint-by-numbers experience EVER. What is Davincified?
Davincified is a paint-by-numbers experience that integrates advanced AI technology. Their innovative AI magic kits allow you to transform yourself into your favorite characters. Whether it’s a beloved superhero, a historical figure, or a fantastical persona, our technology personalizes your kit to bring your imagination to life.
There were so many options to choose from that I had a hard time deciding, but I settled on a flower setting because I can display it on my bathroom gallery wall.
The kit comes with everything you need:
- Numbered guide
- Paint color guide
- Paints you need
- Number labels; and
- Paint brushes
I had everything ready to go—snacks, coffee, and a classic horror flick (House of Wax, 1953) playing in the background—because what’s a craft night without a little spooky ambiance? Let’s paint!
💐 This weekend’s project was the perfect excuse to slow down and get a little creative. You can’t rush this kind of thing. Even as I talked with my daughter, I found myself slowing down, getting quiet, and settling into that peaceful headspace where everything else fades—no phone, no drama, just me and the moment.
I settled in with a classic horror movie, a few snacks, my headphones, and just the right amount of motivation. I ended up purchasing an easel from Michaels because I didn’t want to hunch over my work—plus, it’s a fairly detailed project, so having the easel really helped me sit comfortably and stay focused. 🎨🕯️
I’ll be posting updates each week as this piece comes to life. I don’t want to rush it—half the fun is taking my time and enjoying every brushstroke. If you want to paint along, check out Davincified’s Halloween Sale—buy two kits, get one free, with prices starting at $29.
Friends, thank you so much for checking out this post today. Now back to all the Halloween festivities. Happy painting. — Peace
