Hello friends, how are you?  I hope you are doing well, staying hydrated, taking some days to unplug, taking care of your body, getting plenty of rest, and taking your vitamins.

Friends, it’s that time of year.  How this year flew by on a broomstick 🧹is beyond me.  It’s late August, September is (literally) a week away, and so begins the fury of the Fall season.  This quick post is all about how I prep and turn my plain vingnettes into Fall moments.

Taking Inventory

Around the last week of August, I’m going through my storage unit to pull out some fall goodies.  There’s no need for shopping unless I want some new candles, room scents, hand towels, or flowers.

The main things I’m picking up are:

• Faux pumpkins 🎃
• Faux greenery 🍂
• Vintage Typewriter (for quotes)
• Blackbirds (I have several) 🐦‍⬛
• Skulls 💀

Something New!

Everything around this time is so tempting, but I really try my hardest not to go over my small budget.  There are a few things I always purchase, and I’ll add a few more.  I haven’t made it to the thrift store (that’s coming), but we did a quick trip to Home Goods & Michaels.  I’ll also (most likely) get one or two things from Etsy as well. I want to re-create some of the vignettes (shown below) in my home.

* Artwork (I can get the digital version and have it printed)
* Phesant Feathers
* Faux fall stems
* Handtowels
* Mirrors to layer with art
* Picture frames for vintage photos
* SPLURGE: Vase from Amazon

 

I still want to create this moody-cozy vibe with pumpkins, pillow covers, candles, artwork, and florals.
