Classic Decor That Elevates Your Space!

Posted on March 21, 2025April 16, 2025 by LifeByWyetha

Hello Friends, and welcome (or welcome back) to the blog.

Quote of the Day!
“Our struggles and sorrows are not without purpose — they invite us to surrender and guide us toward our healing.”
The Good Trade

Friends, I hope you are enjoying some creature comforts, staying hydrated, taking those vitamins, and getting plenty of rest. *breathe༄.°*.

The weather is finally changing with milder temps, and it’s “spring cleaning” time.  I don’t have the energy to marathon clean like I used to, so I just do a little bit at a time.  Spring is also a good time to swap out some decor or change a look.  I’ve found a few tried and true items that will elevate your space instantly.

**1 Blackout Curtains [Target]
**2 Mirror [TJ Maxx]
**3 Pharmacy Lamp [Amazon]
** 4 Olive Leaf Spray [Michaels]
** 5 Rustic Ceramic Vase [Amazon]
**6 Art [Ginger Jar], [Daydream]

 DON’T

  • Hit the stores and spend a lot of money; this can work on a small budget or just by shopping your home.
  • Feel like you have to follow a trend via Instagram or TikTok
  • Listen to other people when it comes to your decor style

Curtains

Some crisp white curtains can instantly change the look of any room, but if white is not your jam, a soft pattern or color change works just fine.

Art

Put your own stamp on a blank wall with some poster art.  Art prints are priced very well, or you can get an instant download from Etsy to make any size you like.  Framed art always takes your space up a notch. This art print is called Roots from Society6, and the frame was thrifted and painted by “me.” LOL

Greenery

I don’t have a green thumb.  I never have (in truth). I have one snake plant that’s been holding on for a year. For whatever reason, maybe the temperature of my home, its general placement, or gnats (of all things), plants don’t last. Faux plant stems in a vase remedy that issue. (Link)

I mainly get the green fillers from Michaels (or a large stem that I can cut down). Filler leaves are cheaper, and Michaels always has coupons or sales. The Ficus spray is the most realistic.

These branches with faux green leaves are on my “want it” list.

Vessels [vases]

Once you have those nice stems, you’ll want something to put them in. Vases or vessels can be found just about anywhere on the cheap. I’ve found mine on clearance at Crate & Barrel, thrift stores, and TJ Maxx.

Area Rugs “🏷️ 71% off Sale!

If you’re going to splurge on anything on this list, an area rug is a must. There are so many deals and discounts that a small rug can be a drop in the bucket.  Area rugs ground your space and protect your floors from foot traffic. I’ve had the rug pictured for three years, and it still looks good. (Link)

**Last but not least…Desk lamps are a great way to add ambient light in any space, and strategically placed mirrors give your room the illusion of being larger.**

Is it true that the more you have, the more you want? I could do with a lot less, so I know just a few key staples can make my home look stylish, whether I purchase or repurpose something from my house. It doesn’t take much to elevate your space; it’s your own personal sandbox.

With that, I’ll end here.  Thanks so much for visiting the blog today.  — Peace
