What to Watch on Hulu Right Now

What’s up friends … it’s Wednesday, welcome to the blog!

It’s May friends, how ya’ll feelin’!  I hope you’re doing well, getting outside, staying hydrated, checking in with friends and family, and living your best life.

Sometimes I feel like I’m a great big ole stress ball worrying and obsessing about nothing.  So I disappear into a book or other things to help curb my anxiety about work and just plain old adulting.  Remembering birthdays, bills, contacts, and sorting out disputes is 89.9% of my life.

Have you ever just wanted to have a week where you didn’t have to check an email, contact a customer service agent, or read some instructions.

“The moans and groans of adulting”.

One way I choose to escape the day is with a television series or a documentary to help my brain focus on other things. So I’m sharing what’s good to watch on Hulu.  Last month shared some Netflix shows, and I’ve already gone through a few of those because when I’m stressed I’ll read or watch some good ole TV.  It’s not all junk for the most part. LOL

Some Binge-Worthy Hulu Viewing

1. Captive Audience: A Real American Horror Story

STORY: Hulu‘s latest true-crime documentary, “Captive Audience: A Real American Horror Story,” traces the nearly unbelievable tale of the Stayner family. One brother, Steven, was the victim of a nationally publicized kidnapping and child-abuse case, while another, Cary, later became a serial killer. Steven Stayner‘s tragic story didn’t end with his kidnapping, though. Here’s what to know about the man whose life was upended so early on. Be warned: this story involves mentions of child abuse. (IMBD)

The Thing About Pam2. The Thing About Pam

STORY: When Betsy Faria is murdered in small-town Missouri, the police believe it’s an open-and-shut case involving her husband, who is arrested and found guilty of the crime. However, unanswered questions remain, and the case not only leads to a wrongful conviction but also sets into motion a chain of events that exposes a diabolical scheme involving Betsy’s close friend Pam Hupp. (IMBD)

3. A Questlove Jam, Summer of Soul  (…Or When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)

STORYLINE: Over the course of six weeks during the summer of 1969, thousands of people attend the Harlem Cultural Festival to celebrate Black history, culture, music, and fashion. (IMBD)

Only Murders in the Building4. Only Murders In the Building

STORYLINE: Three strangers share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living among them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late. (IMBD)

5. The Girl from Plainville

STORYLINE: The true story of Michelle Carter’s “texting-suicide” case, exploring her relationship with Conrad Roy III and the events leading up to his death, and, later, her conviction of involuntary manslaughter. (IMBD)

Spencer6. Spencer

STORYLINE: The marriage between Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the queen’s estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game, but this year, things will be profoundly different. (IMBD)

While Hulu doesn’t have a lot of original programs like Netflix or AppleTV, it’s still the best spot to watch your network TV shows, anime, and classic comedies.  Hulu has a great selection of movies and we can’t forget A Handmaid’s Tale.  P.S. I’m still waiting “patiently” for the next season. (it’s sooo good)

I hope you enjoyed this short list.  I’ve already seen Captive Audience: A Real American Horror Story, The Thing About Pam, Summer of Soul, and Spencer which were really good.

Since Hulu is a paid service check out these sources for free movies and TV.
