31 Days of Halloween: Day #22 … 6 Binge-Worthy ’90s Horror Flicks

Hello friends and welcome back to my 31 Days of Halloween series.  Today is Day #22, and I’m listing 6 binge-worthy horror movies from the ’90s.

This post may be a repeat from last year, but these movies never get old, which is why every Halloween you can count on seeing at least 3 of the 6 mentioned on network TV.  I’ve also included the trailer so sit back relax and check out these movies.

’90s Horror Movies

As we moved into the ’90s, horror movies changed, and they reflected everything we were obsessed about, and what scared us. We began to make fun of it’s 80’s predecessor with phrases like … “I’ll Be Right Back” [because we know you’ll never be back].

By now most people were desensitized to the violence on television and movies because it was a part of everyday life.  Slasher movies were more comedy than horror, and then along came Scream by Wes Craven.

This movie single-handedly breathed life back into the classic slasher flick and changed the way we view horror movies.  With more jump scares and a variety of inventive kills this decade would go on to influence the 2000’s.

So here is my list of 90’s binge-worthy horror movies.

My 90’s list has two Wes Craven [1938-2015] films. His highly influential movies changed the fabric of the way horror franchises are made.  One can’t deny that his movies tricked you with their comedic nature, which left you wide open for the jump scare.

Have any of these movies made your list or gave you scare? Are you curious? Just let me know in the comments.  Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog so you don’t miss any posts in this series.  — Happy Halloween! —
