This Weeks Recap/2021 Fall Decor Preview

Hello Friends and welcome to the blog today.

Happy Friday everyone!  I’m glad you decided to stop by today, and I’m glad you made it to the end of the week.  It’s been a hot one, as we’ve been in a heat advisory for most of the week thunderstorms every evening.  It’s August, and it’s miserable, so I hope everyone is staying cool out there.

This week I made an attempt to work on my dollhouse but soon realized that I need a “new” handsaw because I can’t work with my current tool. I also left my paintbrush out so it’s a rock and I can’t use it to continue to paint the bathrooms this weekend.  So I feel like I’m in limbo on all my projects.

My wish was to get the two main bathrooms done by the end of August, but as we creep into the 3rd week I’m not so sure.  At this point, I can’t stress about it because the only deadline I’m on is my own.

I also found out I won a giveaway on Good Reads.  Whoo-hoo! I rarely win things these days so I’m happy for my kindle book titled Limbo by Marko Pandza. I don’t know when I’ll get around to reading but hopefully, I’ll have some time.

I also watched a really good documentary on Prime called Val.  The documentary is about …Val Kilmer, one of Hollywood’s most mercurial actors has been documenting his life and craft through film. He has amassed thousands of hours of footage, from home movies made with his brothers to time spent in iconic roles for blockbuster films like Top Gun & Batman. This raw and wildly original documentary reveals a life lived to extremes and a heart-filled look at what it means to be an artist. (Source: Amazon)

2021 Fall Decor Preview

Ok so not like a preview (preview), but more of what am I doing with all the crap I have in my storage unit.  Which is a whole other issue because the cost of my unit just went up.  It’s not just fall decor, but it’s Halloween, Christmas, Winter, all my wall art, and just EVERYTHING.

At some point, I will need to get to my unit and pull out what I want to use.  It is organized (for the most part) but it’s always a surprise what I have, how much of it, and how I’m going to make it work in this space.  I really don’t have the need for too many “new” things but there are some items, I’ve had my eye on.

Fall Mini-Wish List

Studio McGee Print … Target
I treated myself to this print in June.  I love it!
Cedar Candle … Target
I just love fall scents, and I can’t wait to stock up on more
Ashford Tapered Candle Holder … Magnolia
These may “actually fit my mantle, note that it’s only 2” wide
Blended Garland … Amazon
Black Metal Lantern … Target
Tartan Plaid Throw Blanket … Target

I know this list may not seem like much but trust me, a treasure trove of items awaits me in my storage unit. If you’ll notice my listing is missing a few items. That’s because I have in excess about 15-20 pumpkins in various sizes, signage, leaves, candles, and soooo many blackbirds.

I’m excited about the Fall season in a different neighborhood where folks actually care about their surroundings.  We love it, and we love looking at all the houses on our weekly walks.

That’s it for today friends…short and sweet.  Thanks so much for visiting the blog today.  Don’t forget to follow and subscribe, and have a great rest of your day.  — Peace —
