My Summer Beauty Products Review

Hello Friends and welcome to the blog today!

Happy Friday everyone.  It’s the end of the week ? and I’m glad for the weekend even though it was only a 4-day week.  Reasearchers have done studies about how beneficial a 4-day work week is, but employers and public official just don’t get it. (Any-who)

I’m reviewing a few products that I’m loving for the summer.  I’m trying to get back to product reviews but the truth is I only switch over during the seasons, and if I like something I’m sticking with it. Today I’m reviewing 3 products .. Eczema Honey, Sedona Perfume and Drunk Elephant’s Umbra Tinte.

Eczema Honey

I don’t have eczema but I do have some patches around my upper arms in which I have the same symtoms.  So as I searched the store for some type of relief before Summer started I came across this product.

There are so many products for dry, itchy skin. They calm the itch, but they don’t nourish the skin.  I’ve found that Eczema Honey does both.  This product soothes, protects and keeps my skin moisterized.  I haven’t seen a difference in the discoloration of my skin, but that will improve if I don’t scratch it.

I’ve been using this since May (yes it last a long time) and it’s working well. Eczema Honey has a complete line of products for the face and body like deoderant, cleansers and moisterizers.

This stick is safe for all skin types, and is never tested on animals.  It has feel good ingrediants like Mango Butter, Organic Beeswax, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Honey, Vitamin E Oil, Colloidal Oatmeal, Lavender Essential Oil, and Chamomile Essential Oil. (Source: Eczema Honey)

This one is a keeper.

Drunk Elephant’s Umbra Tinte

I didn’t realize when I was younger how important sunscreen was for your face until I got older.  It’s definately a must if you have acne-prone skin like me.  I’m currently using Curology so I was very skeptical about other products that I could use around that skin-care routine.

In speaking with my Curology dermatolgist – Drunk Elephant was is on the “safe” list for sunscreen because it’s non-comedogenic (which means it will not clog my pores causing more acne).  I didn’t jump and buy this just because of the name but … I got it becasue of the name (LOL).  Drunk Elephant has a fantastic product line, but it doens’t come cheap. However, my skin is worth it.

I don’t use this everyday becuase I’m not out everyday but for my dark skin it blends beautifully.  It’s light, non-greasy, helps with fine lines, dark spots, and uneven texture.  It’s all that I wear on my face besides moisterizer. No blemishes here as sunscreen helps protect your acne that’s healing from turning into a dark mark. So far I really love this product, and I’ve been using it for about 50 days.

Madewell Sedona Fragrance

I don’t try new fragrances often and I probably wouldn’t have tried this one either.  My daughter gifted me this on Mother’s Day, and she picked a winner.  I have a one fragance and a body spray that I wear often, because I like to stick to what smells good on my skin.  I was really surprised at how much I love this.  I literally wear it all the time, after a shower, during the day, or for no other reason than I love how my skin holds this scent.

The Sedona fragrance is a citrus floral with notes of Orange Blossom, Bergamont, and Honey so you know it’s perfect for the Summer.  Crafted with essential oils it’s fantastic for the day or night.  This is my signature scent ya’ll. LOL

I hope I passed on some great products, (or if nothing else) helped you to think outside of your comfort zone and try something new.  I think we should all treat ourselves to something nice, because there’s no love like self love.
