52 List for Calm, Lifestyle

MONDAY: 52 List for Calm

Hey everyone and “Welcome” to my blog. Thank you for landing in my little corner of the blogosphere, and I hope you consider subscribing.

If you’re already subscribed I do thank you for coming back again and spending some time with me.

Hello and Happy Monday … Happy Last Week of July!  Did you have a good weekend?  Are you ready for this week?  I mean it’s here so ready or not right.  Last week was nice and quiet, so I’m sharing a brief update before I get into my journal this week.

Life Updates —> In this brief podcast

“Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.” …Deuteronomy 28:6

Today I’m still working through my Calm journal and moving to List #11. I’ve mentioned previously that I won’t bore you to death by going through every list in the journal.  So I’m cherry-picking the lists that I feel are the most significant in finding calm.

I also don’t want to ruin the experience if you’re interested in purchasing this journal.  (Can’t give it all away) Lastly, I’ve dedicated a page with some backstory and information on Moorea Seal’s 52 List Series —–> You can see that page here.

Let’s get into list #11

52Calm_11

List #11 is a CLARIFYING EXERCISE which walks you through the anxiety you feel when you procrastinate or put things off that need to get done. In this exercise, I’m a “fast-and-efficient-pace individual.  That’s always been the way that I work best.  I want to power through and get it done.

The only time that’s not achievable is when I’m working with others or it’s work because in those instances I have to rely on other people and work with a team, so the trajectory changes.

I tend to blow things out of proportion in my head before I even get the project (or task) done.  Most of my anxiety lies in the fear surrounding our current climate, which wouldn’t normally be an issue but now is magnified.

I also have this feeling of not being able to focus on simple things which is why I prefer to knock-it-out quickly and efficiently vs. breaking it up into smaller tasks.  In my mind, I will never get done, which in itself is stressful, and I want to finish it and move on.

No Control

I have to always remember not to stress or have anxiety about the things that I can’t control, and to be comfortable enough to accept the decisions that I’ve made. God designs the plan for my life and I try hard to listen to what He says and look out for the signs that He’s laid in front of me.

Remembering to leave all fear, anxiety, and doubt with Him and learn to focus on my health, healing, and living this calm lifestyle.

What Calms Your Mind …

Do you have trouble calming your mind? What tools do you have that help you ease your mind in these stressful times?  Check-in with your senses, and start with a simple commitment to yourself to be your best self.  With that, I’ll end this here.  Again … thanks for hanging with me today, and as always. — Know Thyself —

Know Thyself Art …

It’s been my mantra (or manifesto) at the end of every chat to say “Know Thyself”.  The phrase is not a new concept but one I’ve adapted and held near to me.  Know Thyself has many meanings to people, for me it means … know your limitations,  know who you are, know your boundaries… know thyself.  So of course I made this little piece.

It’s not elaborate, just the simple words on a white background. Feel free to download this 8 1/2 x 11 image for yourself.  If a quote or a few words motivate you then write it down, make it an affirmation or turn it into a printable so you can see it every day.
