Hello friends. I really struggled today as to whether or not I should write a post or just take a pass this week. It’s been stressful for my daughter and me, and we are grieving. I’m just not in the best of spirits, and I have this emptiness that will not leave me. I know that grieving and sadness is a process, so I’m trying to go through all these emotions no matter how hard or difficult they might be. This lump … this pain in my chest get’s a little bit better considering it’s only been 3 days. Right now every hour is hard, every nuance, daily routines … just everything.
I’ve been keeping busy, doing things around my place, a few DIYs, and taking some pictures. I’m just trying to think about good things and stay positive. This weeks list comes at a difficult time as List #37 asks … list 10 ways to get excited in the next 10 minutes.
- Going shopping
- Talking to a friend
- Planning a movie binge w/”B”
- Working on a DIY
- New home plans
- Eating at a new restaurant
- Paying off a bill
- Planning a road trip
- Thinking about my next day off
- First glass of wine on a hot summer evening
“TAKE ACTION” This is your cheat sheet of ways for you to get positive energy going if you are feeling low and need to get things done! Next time you’re feeling low take a look at this list and take action with one of your favorite positive energy tricks.
While this take action is a fantastic idea, it’s not going to be the thing that brings me out of what I’m feeling. It can [however] help me ease the pain. Since Thursday, I’ve done 4 things on this list, trying to get uplifted and energized but the way I feel, only time can heal, and I know that I have to go through this to feel better. I want to think about my beloved furry friend with happy memories, and not break down into tears every time I think of him.
He brought us joy for 18 years and I will cherish that, feel good, and work at getting to a point where I can feel joy.
