52 List for Happiness

Sunday Journal: Chit-Chat … 52 List for Happiness [List #4]

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday.  It’s beginning of yet another week + which means another list in my journal + as I work my way through all 52.  I am enjoying how this little journal is showing me ways of using the other side of my brain + and how happiness can be found in all things.

This week is List “4” which asks “List the things that get you out of your head”.  As this list could have been several pages + I really pared this down to things I actually do + not just things that I think about doing.

LIST 4: “List The Things That Get You Out of Your Head”

  1. Singing
  2. Cleaning
  3. Playing with my BJDs
  4. Writing
  5. Doing a DIY
  6. Organizing
  7. Potting plants
  8. Thrift Shopping
  9. Hot bath
  10. Old movies [b-Horror]
  11. Music
  12. Meditation

IMG_5818.JPGTAKE ACTION: Plan an hour this week to do one or a few of these things that put your mind at peace.

I defiantly like this plan + and the great thing is + I’m already doing at 4 things on this list + on a weekly basis.  Cleaning is life when you have cats + so that’s always happening.  We are a singing family so that’s commonplace … I have my blog so I get to write several times a week + and I’ve started with my meditation again using my Calm app.  I know that the purpose of this exercise to get back to happy + but I like to think that I’m partially there.  I’ve only had a few periods of my life that were so stressful + and demanding that I couldn’t see my happy.

I actually started to believe that sadness was this thing that I couldn’t shake + and it felt like my world was crashing + but little by little + that wall came down with faith + and consistency.  I had to learn that everyone has a period or rainy season [so to speak] + and sometimes your need those seasons to get you through to the good times.  If you think of your happiness in terms of a garden + you have to tend to it + sew the seeds + and get through the rainy season in order for it to flourish.  I think of it in terms of life is too short to have this cloud over my head + so I need to get busy living + and stop letting fear be the master and commander of my ship.
