February | Favorites

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday!  Yes…yes ya’ll March is here and with that comes my February favorites + so let’s get to it.

Vintage Headbands | I’ve been eyeing these Vintage headbands [or wraps] on Amazon for a while + priced at $19 dollars + I thought they were a bit costly for fabric.  However … I broke down and made the purchase last month.  I just wanted to find something like a headband [but not plastic] as my hair is at an awkward length + and I can get away with these at work.  First … I love the patterns in their vintage style + they do have wire in them which I thought [ok] this is not going to work. When they arrived one of the bands had a small hole in it but + I used that to my advantage and just slipped out the wire + and “wallah”… it’s perfect.  I still have two with the wire in them + so it’s just a matter of wanting the wire or not.  They stay securely around my head + and they don’t snatch out my natural curls.  The material is cotton and they retail only on Amazon for $19.99.  Definitely worth the price for my needs. [I’m wearing the one in the middle]

CeraVe Serum | I tend to go back and forth with serum’s for my face because I’m really impatient with the results.  Acne can reek havoc on the skin and what takes only a week to blow up on your face + can take months to clear up.  I’ve tried the Derme E Vitamin C Serum and you do get results + although it takes a long time + however with the CeraVe Skin Renewing Serum I’m actually seeing noticeable results after 4 weeks vs. 6-8 weeks with Derma E.  I love the CeraVe product line and I’ll definitely keep this is in my skin regimen.  The CeraVe Serum is available at most retailers but I got mine from Ulta Beauty for $17 dollars.

Method All Purpose | I’m a sucker for cleaners + I actually have a cache of them + but I just love the fact that I can use this on everything [except wood].  It makes my place smell clean and fresh + and with a little elbow grease it removes most scuffs and marks from walls.  I’m simply loving the Honeycrisp Apple scent and the Lime + Sea Salt is great too.  I get all my earth friendly cleaning products from the Grove Collaborative.   Sign up with my code and get a $10 dollars to spend.  The Method All Purpose cleaner retails for about $3-$4 dollars.

Andalou Naturals | I never thought that I would need a night cream + my thinking was that I already use a moisturizer after I cleanse my face + and one more cream would just be too much on my face at night + but since I’ve started my acne treatment with the Differin Gel the Andalou Night Repair Cream really helps my face to retain some moisture.  Differin has a tendency to make your face peel [which is it’s purpose] so I use to wake up with all these dry patches.  Since I’ve been using the night cream it’s really made a big difference.  Andalou Naturals Resveratrol Q10 Night Repair Cream [that’s a mouthful] is available on Amazon + Lucky Vitamin [currently the lowest cost] + the Vitamin Shoppe + and Whole Foods + but I got mine from VitaCost for $19.99.

Butter Gloss | Who doesn’t love lip gloss + I’m sure you don’t carry 3 tubes in your bag like me + but I’m always a sucker for any kind of lip gloss.  For February I’m crushing on the NYX Butter Gloss in the shades of Tiramisu + Madeline + Praline + and Cinnamon Roll.  They go on smooth + and while they don’t last all day [I don’t know if I would want it to] they go well with any look. Right now Ulta Beauty is running a promotion where you buy one + get one for 50% off + Butter Gloss retails for about $6.50.

Baby Bee| I love using oil after a bath or shower + but baby oil contains mineral oil and Vaseline has petroleum + so this product was right under my nose when I was looking for a replacement + without the additives.  Burt’s Bees Baby Ointment is a “non-petroleum” ointment that can be used just about anywhere.  Now I wouldn’t put this on my face because it is heavy + but that’s exactly what I want to lock in moister after my bath + and what I put on my feet under socks to keep them soft.  You can get this at any drugstore or big-box store + but I’ve found it cheaper on Amazon for about $8.50 + and the with the first purchase Amazon applies a coupon so I paid $6 dollars.

That does it for my list of my favorite things in February.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog today + and don’t forget to “Like” + “Comment” + or “Follow” +  for more great content.
